MINISTRY OF INFORMATION AND BROADCASTING, SOUTH-SUDAN
In 2009 Studio Hamburg MCI was charged by the Government of Southern Sudan to plan a television and radio broadcast centre in Juba. The customer required the services of competent consultants for the realisation of this project. MCI advised the customer, defined the requirements for the technical implementation and finally oversee the construction phase.
Radio Bremen – Planning the technical media fixtures
Studio Hamburg Media Consult International (MCI) GmbH was planning the technical media fixtures for Radio Bremen’s new facilities. An innovative new media center with four radio units and two television studios was going up in the Stephanien District.
AL JAZEERA CHILDRENS’S CHANNEL
Al Jazeera Children’s Channel awarded Studio Hamburg Media Consult International (MCI) in December 2007 with the Consultancy for the preliminary design of production and post-production facilities for a new HDTV studio complex.
Studio Hamburg MCI was planning from 2005 till 2008 the technical media fixtures for Radio Bremen’s new facilities. An innovative new media center with four radio units and two television studios. By using common resources and synergies and having the individual divisions come together, MCI, the general contractor, can guarantee the client a streamlined and successful business model.
EUROPEAN CULTURE CHANNEL ARTE, STRASBOURG
In 1998 Studio Hamburg MCI made an evaluation of requirements regarding space and technical facilities for the new production and transmission center of ARTE.
DEUTSCHE WELLE (DW)
In early 1997, Studio Hamburg MCI was commissioned by Deutsche Welle to consult and plan the radio- and information equipment at the new broadcast station in Bonn. Execution of the tender process.
ORINFOR (OFFICE RWANDAIS D‘INFORMATION), KIGALI – RUANDA
ORINFOR has contracted MCI in 1997 to rebuild and to renew their production facilities, their continuity and the TV-center in Kigali which comprises 2 TV studios with associated control rooms, 5 edit suites and 1 continuity.
MALAWI BROADCAST CORPORATION (MBC)
In 1996 the Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) charged Studio Hamburg MCI with the composition of a feasibility study of a second radio broadcasting channel in Malawi. The
study comprises and analysis the current operational equipment and the technical situation within MBC and the media sector of Malawi and is completed by a project proposal including programme formats, technical implementation and training.
UNITED ARAB EMIRATES
In early 1996 Studio Hamburg MCI was charged with the project management for the implantation of a television production and transmission centre in Abu Dhabi. A study of future demands for technical television broadcasting equipment, the preparation of tender
documents for the public reward of consultants in the fields of construction and media
engineering, and the project supervision are included in the scopes of MCI.
WORKING POOL OF GERMANY‘S BROADCAST STATIONS (ARD)
In 1995 Studio Hamburg MCI was charged to plan the whole studio technique for the central studio in the capital of Berlin. Moreover, MCI was in charge of the building‘s management and supervision of the putting into operation of the entire studio technique.
PRIVATIZATION OF ROMANIAN TELEVISION SYSTEM
In 1994 Studio Hamburg MCI was charged by the Audiovisual Council in Bucharest, Romania, to work out a report handling the procedure of issuing licences for a private television in Romania. The feasibility study reflects the European media situation with view to its application on the Romanian media market. A synthetic paper shows the legal framework of the project envisaged by the Romanian Government in coordination with the European Union.
MINISTRY OF INFORMATION, RWANDA
From 1993 civil engineering as well as planning of the rehabilitation of radio broadcasting facilities has been worked out for the ‚Office Rwandais de l‘Information‘ at Kigali, Rwanda.
The project comprises the installation of technical equipment in radio broadcasting studios and the planning of a new building for Radio Rwanda. By the end of 1995 a feasibility study of the rehabilitation of Radio Rwanda and its transmitter network was provided on behalf of the KfW.
BOTSWANA TELEVISION SERVICE
In 1993 the Government of Botswana charged Studio Hamburg MCI with the elaboration of criteria for the concept of national TV services in Botswana (BTV), including the evaluation of programme, technical and financial structures as well as training facilities.
TV PRODUCTION CENTRE, JAKARTA
In 1990 Studio Hamburg MCI was charged by the Government of Indonesia to work out a feasibility study of the renewal of the television production centre in Jakarta.
BASQUE TELEVISION SERVICE, EUSKAL IRRATI TELEBISTA EITB
In 1984 the autonomous Government of the Basque Region charged Studio Hamburg MCI with the general consultancy and planning of a new broadcasting and television production centre for the Basque television service in San Sebastian. The new building was designed by an architect of Studio Hamburg MCI.
MINISTRY OF INFORMATION OF THE REPUBLIC OF ZAIRE
In 1983 Studio Hamburg MCI was appointed to a consultant of the Ministry of Information for the rehabilitation of the radio broadcasting network in Zaire. The project which was financed by the Kreditanstalt for Wiederaufbau (KfW) included the rehabilitation of medium and short wave transmitters as well as the training of the broadcasting personnel which is supervised by the Ministry of Information.
RADIOTELEVISION PORTUGESA, LISBOA
In 1980 Radiotelevision Portugesa (RTP) appointed Studio Hamburg as their general consultant for the implantation of a news and transmission centre in Lisboa.
